Friends and Family fondue night

Christmas in January! We didn’t get to celebrate the holidays with our dear friends in December so we just recently had a little gift exchange and fondue party.

Our friends’ two boys are around the same age as Louis and Judy so it’s always a great time when we get the families together!
Surprisingly, fondue is an awesomely kid-friendly meal. I mean, Judy mainly just eats bread but the boys loved the cherry tomatoes, kielbasa and apple slices!

I use this cast iron fondue pot from Target. We got it as a wedding gift six years ago from my sister and it is still our most loved kitchen product!

Our go-to recipe is this one from Tyler Florence. It’s the only recipe we use after many trials and errors. For this particular batch, we did half cheddar/half Swiss which seems to be the favorite around these parts but you really can’t go wrong with all Swiss either.

Judys favorite part of the party is having all the boys over for her to dote on! Oy!

And in case you’re wondering, my tassel earrings are currently sold out on J.Crew Factory’s site but check for pop backs or in your local store. I love them, they’re super light weight!

Judy’s bow is from the Cat & Jack collection at Target. I am just so impressed with all of their items!

Thanks for stopping by to read about our little party! I definitely encourage you to give this fondue recipe a try at your next get together!
