Hey friends! How was everyone’s long weekend? Ours was awesome…basically a staycation here in Huntsville! Since Joe had Friday off, we spent Thursday night at an awesome event at Parkway Place where some exciting stuff is in the works!
For this whole weekend, I wanted to wear red white and blue and this skirt was the perfect way to kick off my little style challenge! I just snagged it on pop back clearance so keep checking online and your local store! These mules are so comfy and the perfect soft navy suede. My trench is a DIY that my mom helped me make by cutting the sleeves off an Old Navy trench and hemming it…simple as that!
Then we went to a delicious dinner at Little Rosie’s. We live near the bigger Rosie’s and hadn’t been to this one so it was familiar but different which was perfect! I recommend the pocket taco which was like a cross between a quesadilla and a taco, so good!
We worked up quite the appetite after bowling and since Friday night is pizza night, you know what we were having! We either order Marcos or use this dough recipe…and since we had cherry tomatoes on hand we went homemade!
When Pizzelles opened, we headed downstairs for delicious ice cream cookie sandwiches!
After dinner there was a huge downpour, so the kids got to run wild outside and it was so fun to watch! If I hadn’t been wearing this adorable outfit, I would’ve run with them!
We continued to dodge rain showers this weekend so on the big day, we planned for an indoor campout! Prior to that, the kids hung out with my dad while my mom, Joe and I hit up some of the sales. Joe got an awesome Michael Kord suit for less than $100 which was a big score! I wasn’t really looking for anything but I’ll take any excuse to dress up and go shopping!
