I really wish three day weekends were a monthly thing–something about having that extra day off is just good for the soul!
I kicked off the weekend by celebrating the launch of Chanel’s new fragrance, Gabrielle, at Belk in Parkway Place. Being surrounded by delicious treats, beautiful makeup, gorgeous perfume and new friends (the wonderful photographer, Kylie of Lilac & Lemon ) is a pretty great way to start the day!
On Saturday we went to the U.S. Space and Rocket Museum to catch the Science of Rock & Roll exhibit one last time–the kids have been obsessed with it this summer! Seriously though, to any of my local readers who are considering becoming a member of the museum–DO IT. With the new exhibits every few months, indoor play area and free admission to other STEM museums around the country, it has been worth every penny for us!
By some miracle, Cars 3 was still in theaters this weekend and since I had told Louis we would go see it (only after realizing it was no longer showing) we got the first tickets of the morning on Sunday and headed to the movies! The kids (and who are we kidding, Joe) loved it! Judy fell asleep at the end–cause it’s surprisingly long–and I thought it was kinda boring? What can I say, I need some song and dance in my cartoons. #90schick
For the movie, I wore this outfit I scored on Poshmark–did a little review on my Instagram–and felt so cute! This clip dot skirt was on my wish list for EVER–I waited for it to go on sale and then missed out. I then began stalking it on Factory and even eBay but finally snagged it on Posh and I love it! This tee was just something that caught my eye in the seller’s closet and a girl can never have too many stripes!
Oh and these flats–love them! I am always on the lookout for a good leopard flat as I tend to wear through mine pretty quickly. I like the leopard print to be more on the yellow side than the black or brown if that makes sense and I definitely want leopard print and not cheetah (google it lol) so when I stumbled upon these the other day, I snapped them up quick! While these may technically be a heel and not a flat, they are as comfy as a flat with the bonus flattery of a heel.
