What a lovely weekend we had! I am writing this on Sunday afternoon and am still currently in my pajamas so you know it’s been a good one.
On Saturday we hit the ground running with Joe taking the kiddos to Home Depot for their monthly craft and me squeezing in a workout and making lunches to take downtown. When they got home we headed to the Von Braun Center for the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra’s annual kids show! We have only lived in Huntsville four years and this is our third time attending the show–it has already become a family tradition! I would say though, that this year was our best yet as the kids are finally at the age (3 and 4) where they can follow along with the plot and really enjoy it! That being said, the kids have always had fun there but this was the first time we were actually able to stay the whole time!
Having friends snag you a seat also came in clutch this year as the VBC gets packed quick during this free family event! If you are interested in going next year, I highly suggest you get there early and reserve your seats while the rest of your party enjoys the before show activities. I really hope they make this a semi-annual or quarterly event as it’s such a great thing for kids of all ages in the Huntsville area!
After the show we came home for a quick nap and then headed to a little lady’s first birthday party! Always fun celebrating babies and it got me even more excited to celebrate our leading lady, Judy, next week! Cannot believe she is about to be 3! Make sure to check back next week for a post all about her but if you are just dying with anticipation, you can read about her 2nd birthday and a little of her birth story here
