What’s the point of a green wall if not to Instagram it?! Jk, but really finding this fun wall was just another highlight in a great weekend!
Since Friday was the last day of Lou’s fall break, Joe took off so we could enjoy a long weekend and to celebrate we went out to Bonefish!
It was our first time there, and while it’s a bit fancier then we usually do with the kids, the restaurant had everything we needed to make for a fun family night out!
Key points being tablecloths to write on and bread as soon as we sat down! Very necessary things.
We of course got the famous Bang Bang shrimp (why did it take me so long to try this?!) and the kids enjoyed their go to’s–macaroni and cheese and fist sticks (but theirs were more like fish and chips and I would totally order them for myself!!).
Every Thursday in October, Bonefish is doing a 3 course dinner special and you know, your girl went with that 🙂
I started with the most wonderfully, October basic *you know what* salad topped with pumpkin seeds!
I then got the scallops (another first time for me!) and shrimp with ALL the sauces–so good! My favorite sauce was the garlic butter though because, BUTTER. And continuing with my meal of trying out new things, I also tried brussel sprouts! Uhm amazing, but I’m pretty sure if you cook any vegetable with bacon and drizzle them with some sort of delicious glaze, I’m gonna like it.
And the best part of this 3 course deal, is dessert! Well I don’t know if it’s the best part (it was all so good!) but it’s always my favorite part–and since I couldn’t decide on just one, I got my dessert with a side of dessert. For the table, of course.
We clearly hated the dark chocolate brownie and coconut pie!
It was such a fun way to kick off our weekend and I definitely recommend you go enjoy this 3 course deal while you can!
We all slept well that night and come Friday morning we were ready to hit the trails! This was our first time hiking with the kids so we went with Rainbow Mountain and I can’t get over how well it went! Low expectations for the win–I thought it was going to be a disaster and the kids just did so well! Hoping to make this into a new family tradition.
On Saturday, Joe took the kids to Star Wars day at the Redstone library and we let them bust out their Halloween costumes early–got to get my money’s worth! Plus they’re so stinking cute.
We then met up at Bridgestreet where my my wonderful Instagram husband suggested we take these pictures and then my heart was full and my weekend complete lol.
